Default ant CMS using paradox database? - 07-24-2006 , 12:45 PM

Hi all,

We need to develop an eCommerce portal using a Paradox database as the
back-end, for integration with existent software in the company.

May you know of any Open Source CMS (Content Management System) that
can run with Paradox?
Would an ODBC-based-CMS be all right with Paradox?

Many thanks for any help you can give us.

Kind regards,
Oscar Diaz

I looked at several open source CMS about 2 years ago. Most of them use
either MySQL or PostgreSQL for the database.

Paradox can work with either through ODBC. I rehosted the Paradox Community
website in Mambo by pushing data from Paradox tables into the Mambo tables.

Some of the open source CMS that have been discussed lately:

Mambo Open Source - www.mamboserver.com
Joomla!, which is the latest version of Mambo - www.joomla.org
Drupal, a more involved CMS - www.drupal.org

All of the above are LAMP - Drupal evidently runs on PostgreSQL too and
perhaps on others.
