Default Oracle Training Question - 08-12-2004 , 09:59 AM

Does anyone know of a good training course for application developers
who need to learn more about SQL efficiency, understanding Explain Plans
and learning how to improve SQL by tweaking SQL or providing hints.
Course should explain the differences between Rules based and Cost based
optimization.

Our DBA group has demanded that our application groups take more
responsibility for fine-tuning our Oracle applications, many of which
are third party products which auto-generate SQL. We're not looking for
DBA training, but we'll take it if covers the above.

Oracle or third party training is fine and we'd prefer if it were in NYC
or at least in the tri-state area. We plan on sending 2 to 3 associates.

Thanks.

www.hotsos.com hosts top notched seminars on Oracle performance.

One of the principals of HOTSOS has written an excellent book on
Oracle Performance tuning.
