Default to oracle or to ms sql server 03 - 11-25-2004 , 12:44 PM

It's pretty much safe to say I'm a Microsoft whore. But I wanted to complete a
certication for either one of those rdbms's in the subject line by the time
I graduate school. I was seriously thinking about the MS SQL route, but
something different like oracle. Oracle's certifications seem a little more
interesting than MS's tracks. But anyways, anyone have any input on which to
invest my time and money in, which neither do I have much of. And by the
way, I'm wondering about the marketplace here in the USA.

Go for the Micro$oft certification.
Many, many more sites run SQL Server than Oracle.
Besides if you get the Oracle certification & have no or minimal real world
experience, then the piece of paper would only be of value to you if you
took it to the bathroom & used it there.
