Hi!

I want to develop a forms application where the user will have to use his magnetic card to proceed.
He can't type the data, if he doesn't have the card, he won't be able to put further information on
that form, to avoid frauds we are facing on that data input.

I'm using Forms 6i (client-server) under Oracle 8.1.7.4.

Is there any way to accomplish this? An user exit? How?

Assuming you have an interface to the Card reader as a DLL/Shared
library of some sort then use ORAFFI (foreign Function Interface) to
load and talk to the shared library.
