Designer Diagrams open very slow

I am using Oracle Designer ver 10.1.2.2. The diagrams open very very
slowly since the upgrade to this version. Does anyone have the same
problem? Does anyone know how this can be solved? I am talking about
anything between 5 and 20 minutes for one diagram to open!! Thanks

using the versioned repository, by chance? If so, make sure you have

up-to-date statistics - there is an option in the admin screens
(SCM? Sorry: New pc - no Designer anymore)

Hi!

I have new PC also and not bothered to install it.
I use DBDesigner 4, it is not as clever as Designer, but very easy to use
and can make ERD.

The statistics may not be up-to-date for the cost-based optimiser.

Use the DBMS_STATS package to generate statistics for you.
