I am trying a silent install of Oracle 11g (11.2.0.1) for a single instance database (software only) on a 64bit Linux server. For some reason, I get a "X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication. X connection to localhost:11.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown)." error. I don't understand why X would be needed for silent install. I have previously done this with 11.1 without any problems. Also netca and dbca in 11.2 run without any issues when doing silent install. |

Just a very wild guess but easy to check: you wouldn't have a DISPLAY variable set? |
