Only in California I guess?
Yes, I'm serious. The vendor is worldwide. I had a headhunter after
me at one time to move to some island in the Bahamas for a brewery. A
nice dream, but I'd be bored in two weeks. I've lost touch with one
of my old bosses, but somewhere I heard that after he left the vendor
he went to work for one of the wineries.

It certainly gives you a different perspective on the idea of
canonical business data when you have to deal with multiple units of
measurement and percentage yields.

I'm a little confused here.
Aren't 'Stout' and 'Bitter' (='Pale Ale') two different types of beer?
Maybe you are mixing up John Smith's Extra Smooth Yorkshire Bitter and
Samuel Smith's Old Brewery Extra Stout or the Imperial Stout from the
same brewery (also in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire and very much related
to John Smith's brewery)?

I can not speak for any of the Smith stuff under discussion. I really
do not care to figure out too much of the good beer details.

The Dogfish Head 90 min IPA is pretty dang bitter and pretty dang
strong ( 9 percent? ) and dark ... maybe an imperial ale is somewhat
technically different from a stout but not very far ...

Who cares exactly they go down well and even better my wife hates them.

I was there! I've been just about every year since my student days in
1989. I can highly recommend the Brother's Bar Pear Cider also. It's
not the sort of thing that I usually drink, but it's very refreshing
in the sun. I shall certainly raise a glass in your direction when
I'm there in two weeks time
