Default Oracle 10G experiences - 10-29-2004 , 01:16 PM

I was wondering if I could get feedback on peoples experiences with
10G, specifically in large data warehouse environments, or ETL
environments.
The product has been out for close to a year now, and we are
considering
putting it into our development areas. Is 10G

- Stable? Any issues re installation or running 9i and 10G on the
same server.
- Performance. Any benchmarks, observations from the "real" world
(meaning
not a Oracle sales rep) on performance gains, especially if they
involve
direct load/insert, aggregation, OLAP type rollups
(multi-dimensions), and
calculations. Assume a 2 to 3 terabyte warehouse with a 150 Gig
monthly
data load.
- Any problems, concerns, issues, or surprises?
- Any feedback on the 10G patchset released in August.

Much appreciated.

Solid as a rock with all 9i functionality and much of the new 10g.

Not that I am aware of but then I am against running more than one
instance on a single machine unless it is a very very small one
such as an OEM repository.

I find 0-25% improvement in performance.

I've yet to have a happy experience with DataPump.

Still in evaluation.
