for 10gr2 only.
Older releases are fine, newer ones as well.
But 10gr2? Err-404
http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/port..._db?selected=3
Been like that for 4 days now and no one has noticed/fixed?
Lovely...

You don't have that specific doc library already saved off locally?

I for one don't want to depend on getting stuff like that ( for
environments I have deployed and running on my systems ) from Oracle.

Of course one can always open an SR and wait for it to get fixed ...
and wait ... and wait some more.

Still that way, an ace complained on the forums 7 hours ago.

I do, but I still find it easier to use the online stuff. When it is
down, I rationalize they are updating something, which doesn't happen
locally.

No argument there.

Locally for me is four computers. Only got it save in one. Not all
are accessible all the time from everywhere...

to the SR! ;-)

Fixed now. Apparently, it takes an Ace to complain.
Normal 6-figure paying users aren't important...

Akshally, no complaints here. From about three years ago, I get
answers within 24-hours, even for priority 4. That's not bad,
considering the horror stories I hear from.

Search function still borked. http://forums.oracle.com/forums/mess...938586#9938586

Java bug database continues to be screwy (not that we don't laugh at
that).

These problems are both pandemic and capricious. Perhaps Oracle is
discovering its own dogfood makes dogs barf.

Wait until it's all in Fusion and needing a 200GB/32X4GHz/Exa**2Data
box for a minimal sandpit entry point. Then it'll fly, guaranteed.
(out the window...)

Once upon a time in a land far, far away, called "Maynard, Massachusetts"
or simply "the Mill", there was an IT company. It was an engineering
company, producing some of the finest machines and operating systems of
that time. The company was headed by an extremely successful entrepreneur
named Ken Olsen. The company was second only to the mighty IBM. It
pioneered virtual memory, databases, clustering, computer architecture,
networking and more. And then, the company raised prices and started to
hide things and to bully others around. Do you need me to tell you how
does the story end? Do you see the parallels with another very high and
mighty company that we both know and love? How does the old saying go?
The bigger they are, the harder they fall, or something like that?

There must be a ctime fly joke in there somewheres.

Link above now has a funny (to me, anyways) comment that they are now
adding an app layer down notification. D'Oh!

Mladen:

# The company was headed by an extremely successful entrepreneur named
Ken Olsen.

So that's where the Olsen twins started out?
