Default Maple MRS - 10-11-2010 , 11:49 AM

I took several posts from this group to my company's HR department and
asked them to never consider any resumes that Maple MRS may send to them.
Today, the VP HR officially came back to me, Maple MRS is officially
blacklisted. Please do the same in your organization. That is the proper
way to deal with spammers like Maple MRS.

Hey if it works for you and keeps you happy well then more power to
you. Power to the people even!

For many Oracle professionals however showing job posting examples to
the HR department may not be a very viable option. The explanation of
"well I am just trying to keep spammers out of one of my favorite
newsgroups" could potentially draw several responses and not all of
them might be favorable.

Unfortunately I do not think there is any one size fits all way to
handle this type of thing. Just my opinion.

Trying to get google to keep this activity under control does not seem
to be effective at this time.

Well, that depends on your relationship with the people in HR. I fully
understand why YOU would not be able to elicit a positive response.

I don't get it. The moron is posting from a google account, and they
just ignore what it sounds like is repeated complaints from several
users on this board.

I think google is the new evil.

I think google is the new evil.
Google customer support is next to useless,a s evidenced by their
total lack of action on Usenet spam complaints. One of the reasons
why I don't use google products anymore than I have to.

Mladen:

# Well, that depends on your relationship with the people in HR.

I think most of the Oracle professionals stay friendly with the people
in HR.

The job postings by other companies/recruiters category though is a
little shaky. All HR departments want employees to be aware of Oracle
related job postings at their company. Do they want their Oracle
professionals being aware of job postings elsewhere? Probably not so
much.

Maybe it is similar in concept to the moves in the forbidden dance.
Would I care if I knew Mladen was familiar with the dance? Probably
not. Would I want to see Mladen actually do the dance? Probably not
so much.

So your recommendation is to continually show HR the postings of
another company/recruiter. Like I said if it works for you then have
fun with it.
