Default main: NLS initialization failed!! - 01-16-2006 , 10:37 PM






I am using Oracle 10.1.02 version of the Application Server on Windows
2003 server. I had everything working on the box until I rebooted the
machine 2 days ago. The App server is not coming up. As soon as the
machine comes up, I get a window saying that opmn.exe crashed and no
other message details on it.

WHen I try to manually start opmn using opmnctl startall, I get the
following error:
main: NLS initialization failed!!!
main: NLS initialization failed!!!
pingwait exits with 1228572

I did look all over the net and I did find links related to the same
error, but none of the solutions helped me. I also looked at metalink
and tried everything they suggested, including changing path etc.

If you have any suggestions on what else i can do, that would be a big
help.

This is the output from service.log file in opmn\logs folder. Output
from ons.log is appended. Thanks for taking time to look into this.

Remove the oracle instant client from you pc!
