I have a 7.3.4.5.0 instance, that does hot backups to another machine via NFS. The NFS server had issues this weekend, and I believe that everything is back to normal now, but i would like to make certain that none of the instances tablespaces/datafiles were inadvertently left in BACKUP mode. How can I verify this? -- "They that would give up essential liberty for temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * -- Benjamin Franklin |

Should any file# have a status of ACTIVE it's still in backup mode and this needs to be corrected. As I understand it Oracle 7, if started with files in backup mode after a crash or a SHUTDOWN ABORT, will assume media recovery is required. |
