Has anybody tried to install 8i on Redhat 3.0 or 4.0?
Its not a supportd congiuration but i need to do it.

If you would manage to install on this systems all the required for
Oracle 8i versions of binutils,glibc,gcc ( it is not the complete list),
you would introduce so much inconcsistancy in your os, that they could
not anymore be considered as RHEL 3 or RHEL 4. If your business needs
require Oracle 8i, i would be consistent and go along RHAS 2.1.

Nothing particulary yet. Im planning to do the installation tommorow but i
heard that i need the right version of glibc and the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in the
envirnment.
Do you now how to put the right version of glibc and what the value of
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL is?
