Job Description:
Working with large mission critical databases in an enterprise
organization.
StrongSQL skills - troubleshooting, monitoring, performance tuning,
query optimization,disaster recovery
Sound MS SQL administration/ trouble shooting skills, Backup,Recovery,
DBCC, Log shipping, Replication, clustering.
Worked with database sizes inexcess of 50Gb, with over 500 concurrent
users.
Strong processorientation. Experience with formal processes to apply
changes in preproduction,testing and then bringing into production
system
Awareness of disasterrecovery, business continuance and redundancy
planning concepts and technology (logshipping, RAID, standby servers
etc).
Should have good communication, interpersonalskills and good customer
handling & interfacing skills ·Familiarity with IIS,general
networking and Windows 2000 be seen as a advantage.
Experience in database administration and support, troubleshooting
problems, resolving issues.
Verystrong, methodical troubleshooting skills (detailed, step-by-step
approach to identifying andresolving issues).
Strong written and verbal communication skills as customer base will be
external Microsoft partners and customers MS SQL SERVER2000 / 7, WIN
2000.
