Where do I use this statement? SHould I shout it at the screen?

We got our Oracle from a company that fired there Oracle specialist
and now they refuse to provide Oracle support. Oracle won't support us
because we didn't buy it directly from them. I don't know anything
about Oracle other than how to add a view in the Schema Manager.

So, where is the control panel that lets me make this adjustment?
Posts along the lines of 'ALTER TABLESPACE ......' are assuming that you are
using sqlplus.
The GUI for tablespace management would be called Storage manager _ I think_
in your version of Oracle. it would be labelled storage in someway anyhow.

Do you have a lot of reading to do!

The short answer is that commands like you mentioned are entered in a
program called SQL*Plus (supplied as part of the Oracle DBMS) or some other
similar program. I would recommend getting some books and finding out a
little about Oracle first before attempting to do anything like you
describe. The documentation for Oracle is located at
http://tahiti.oracle.com/ and should be the first place you go.

Hi Steven,

I would strongly recommend professional help.
Make your management hire a consultant / dba
to get things working. When this person takes
the load off your shoulders you should find the
time to do your reading and learning.

Sorry, not much of use to offer.

Greetings,
Guido
