Okay - I know I've seen this before but it has me stumped right now. I have just set up OEM on a new dev environment and when I try to set the preferred credentials for a node/database/lisenter/etc. the settings aren't saved. Any ideas? I can log in fine but when I exit the window they settings are gone. Have I started the agent wrong? Thanks, James |

Preferred credentials are set from the Configuration|Preferences menu. You will need to set the users info etc there. -- Niall Litchfield Oracle DBA Audit Commission UK ***************************************** Please include version and platform and SQL where applicable It makes life easier and increases the likelihood of a good answer ****************************************** "James" <james.varga (AT) mindsweep (DOT) net> wrote in message news:v1qu0qhqk3hn56 (AT) corp (DOT) supernews.com... I'm logging into the console with the sysman account - is there something that wouldn't be set up there by default? I'm assuming that the preferred creds' are stored in the repository. Do you have permissions to modify omsconfig.properties - which is where the encrypted credentials are stored. Also check the Enterprise Manager logs .... perhaps ORACLE_HOME\sysman\logs and so forth .... ? I had massive problems with this two years ago on one PC only .... Couldn't solve it - I think it was my Java Engine ... using another PC solved the problem.. The worst thing was the lack of decent logging in OEM.
