Default Oracle on z/OS - 10-27-2008 , 04:40 PM

Would this be the best place to ask questions about accessing Oracle
databases from z/OS? Or is there a "mainframe Oracle" list perhaps?

Thanks,
Frank

Hi Frank,
i think that there is no special newsgroup for oracle on z/OS.
Have you look at metalink ?
On "Community" they have an IBM z/OS Platform Technical Forum.

As good a place as any and glad to help.

The good news is that accessing Oracle, on any operating system and
hardware platform, is essentially identical to accessing Oracle on
all. Depending on version, the most recent available being 10.2.0.2,
you are likely looking at using SQL*Plus as the primary tool for
DBAs and most developers.
