GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is for a senior Oracle-focused technologist to work in a
presales capacity to support Centium's Oracle solution-selling
efforts. This position requires the highest professionalism,
communication and strong skills in core Oracle technologies.

This role requires at least 5-7 years of information technology
experience with solution-selling experience around Oracle Database
and/or Oracle Application Server products. Solution Architects at
Centium work directly with clients to uncover business or technical
needs that can fulfilled through Oracle technology and Centium's
consulting offerings. Candidates must be willing to travel as this
role will be a sales-support role visiting client and partners across
Centium's regions.

The role will be focused on selling Oracle-based consulting solutions
that support Centium's core systems integration and resale efforts.
As an Oracle Solution Architect, onsite presentations and scoping of
consulting engagements are the majority of the role's duties.
Project oversight, in a billable capacity, will be required to ensure
project delivery success.

DUTIES
· Accompany Centium sales reps and partners to sales calls onsite and
remotely to uncover consulting and/or product resale opportunities.
· Define and scope consulting opportunities for Centium's Oracle
and other offerings.
· Perform presentations of Centium's Oracle capabilities to clients
and internally to help train sales staff on our solutions.
· Perform hands-on software installation and configuration of core
Oracle technologies (Oracle database and application server) as needed
as part of a project deliverys.
· Translate new Oracle product offerings into consulting
opportunities based on Centium's consulting capabilities.
· Work with Practice Director(s) to sculpt existing Oracle offerings
and develop new solutions to be brought to market.
· Create Scopes of Work and participate in Project Planning efforts
for pre and post sales support to Centium clients and sales staff.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND EDUCATION
· Oracle Certification preferred, but not required. 9i and/or 10g
certification.
· Strong understanding of the Oracle database engine, security and
tuning options to the Enterprise database.
· Strong technical expertise in UX or Linux operating systems and
Oracle's interaction and compatibility across platforms.
· Strong problem mediation skills and prior experience with Metalink
and escalation processes within Oracle Support.
· Strong technical computing architecture experience - servers,
network and storage.
· Strong "best-practice" knowledge for Oracle environments as it
relates to installation & configuration, deployment and
high-availability configurations.
· Strong backup knowledge with Oracle backup utilities and
methodologies.
· Strong application server and/or web technology experience.
Solution Architect candidates should exhibit a wide knowledge of
enterprise application architectures and web / application server
technologies such as Oracle Application Server, MS .NET and Java/J2EE.

SUPERVISION
· Reports internally to the Practice Director for Oracle consulting
work and works with Project Manager(s) to ensure project milestones and
target dates are met.
· Reports externally to the client project manager.
· Documents all client work for internal use and client knowledge
transfer.
· General setting of goals and objectives without direct day-to-day
supervision.
