Default Oracle 10g Configuration problem over Windows 2003 Standard Edition - 02-17-2005 , 06:24 AM

Hello,

I've installed Oracle 10g in a Windows 2003 Standard Edition and
everything was working perfectly but one day I start the server
and I receive this error:

ORA-12528: TNS:listener: all appropiate instances are blocking
new connections

I solved it with:

c:\>LSNRCTL STOP
c:\>LSNRCTL START

But then I received the next one:

ORA-12505: TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in
connect descriptor

I've tried to solve this with several methods but anyone worked.

Now I've my Oracle down and I'm not sure if it is well
configured.

So I'd like to ask for help to start my Oracle server again,
please.

Thanks in advance!

And what is it about the error message that you don't understand?

What is the SID given in the connect descriptor?
What is the SID of the database?
What changed?
