Default ORA-08177 in Oracle 9i? - 07-14-2006 , 11:51 AM

ORA-08177: can't serialize access for this transaction
ORA-06512: at <triggername>, line 159
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger <triggername>

Hello,

I have been researching in groups about the Oracle error 08177 and have
found that most of the posts were about WebLogic and Oracle 8i.

Is there any information for these errors that are occuring in Oracle
9i databases?

Above is a sample of the error sets that I have received with the
actual trigger names removed for client confidentiality purposes.

Is this also a common error in Oracle 9i?

I do not know if this information will help, but where the ORA-06512
error occurs, the line on that trigger is at a point where the trigger
attempts to insert data into another table.

Check the metalink for more info. But you have to supply more info to
determine the real cause. For example your trigger etc.
