I'm working in a database Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 where there is created a
link to a second database Oracle 8.1.6.0.0.

There is a synonym created referencing a table in the second database.
The link is OK but when i query the table it doesn't retrieve any
data.

How could it be solved??

You can't. DB Link between 10.2 and 8.1.6 are not supported.

I tried to use a third database 9i like a bridge between 8 and 10g.

From 9i to 8 is fine, but from 10g to 9i it is not.
I indicates me that the object type is unknown.

I created the respective links and synoyms for a table i need to query
in 10g.

May you help me with this.
