Default Import 11g dump in 9i - 03-20-2008 , 02:50 AM

Hi list,

we have some 11g and 9i servers and I want to transfer data from an
11g to a 9i one.

Using the exp from 11g naturally fails, because the imp of 9i can't
read the dmp format. Using the imp utility from 9i also fails because
I get a segmentation fault (no message on the command line, but a
Windows window telling me that exp.exe encountered an error.

Using the imp utility from 11g on the 9i also fails.

Does anyone has any idea?

Kind regards,
Christoph

involved.

2. Import the data with the Import utility of the target database.

According to this matrix 9.2 should work with 11g.

As you can see on the screenshot[1] I'm using version 9.2.0.1.0 to
connect to the 11g database - without success.

The screenshot is in German, but I guess you can understand most
parts. If not, I'll translate it.

You haven't patched your 9.2 database to 9.2.0.8? Or haven't you
applied the 9.2.0.8 patchset to the client installation? It might be
worth the effort to do so.
