Default dbca in text mode - 05-19-2008 , 09:36 AM

I'm using 10g R2 on Solaris.

Is there a way to use the Database Configuration Assistant in a text
only mode (no graphical display)?

No - iirc not even with response files.

I don't know anything about it, but I see at least one little
exception: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B...x.htm#CEGJFBJA

Also see metalink Note:3361262.8

OK: it's silent - but that document does not state whether
some X-windows has to be installed, or not.
Afaik, you cannot run DBCA with runlevel 3. But I may
be wrong (I loved the speed and simplicity of the "old"
installer)
