Default Characters which cannot be used in Oracle passwords - 04-05-2010 , 03:46 PM

Gurus,

In some versions of Oracle, one cannot use the @ symbol in a password. Are
there any other forbidden characters out there which cannot be used inside
Oracle user account passwords?

Yes, by default with 11g passwords become case sensitive for all newly
created users and passwords. This can cause issues if in one place in
code a password is entered in all lower case and in another the
password is passed as upper case.
