Actually you can set a session parameter that will provide case
insesitive searches and sorts in 10g onwards.

I tried the following statement

alter session set nls_comp=ansi

but it seems it doesn't success in oracle 11g
What i did wrong?
I think tiro provided the answer. Using the second link I provided
there is a table of how the nls parameters affect various Oracle
features/functions for sorting/searching for case. ANSI defaults to
binary where 'A' <> 'a'.

Hi.
I have to open an ado connection from access toward db oracle 11g
It's simple but i have to set oracle db case insensitive
How can i set db oracle 11g case insensitive in ado connection?
Instead of trying to change the behaviour of the RDBMS, why not just
code appropriately?
