Title: PowerBuilder Developer
Period: 14 Months
Location: Minneapolis, MN (LOCAL candidates preferred)
Rate: up to $ 60/hr

This position assumes responsibility for application development and
support work in the Business Applications group within the Customer
Connection Solution Center (CCSC). One, major area of focus will be to
support the Sales Compensation System by making system enhancements
when requested by the business, creating/managing system documentation
and testing. This position requires a maximum amount of user
interaction to solve user related issues, troubleshoot system problems
and solve for business needs. Individual must be willing and able to
research issues independently. This person needs to be assertive with
respect to solving problems and provide detailed communication
updates. This Position requires participation on development teams
that include employees, on-site professional service resources and off-
shore professional service resources.

Job Description

Development activities for applications written in Websphere and
PowerBuilder. This includes new development, release level development
and support of these applications. Excellent knowledge of Java, Stored
Procedures, PowerBuilder and SQL Server 2000/2005 is required to be
successful in this position. Must be a quick learner with advanced
skills in troubleshooting and debugging of existing applications.

Skills:

*3-5 years experience primarily java related programming and design.
*Experience with Java, Java script, J2EE, JSP, HTML, MSsql.
*Experience WSAD, XML, Websphere preferred.
*PowerBuilder Developer (ver. 8,9,10)
*Advanced knowledge of DataWindows and Stored Procedures
*Detailed knowledge of databases and database programming (SQL Server
2000/2005)
*Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
*Knowledge of Use cases and Rational tool set
*Troubleshooting/Recommending Changes
*Ability to understand others code and make changes as required
*Able to work independently on most aspects of work
*Team player who is able to work in a dynamic team environment
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
*Design, coding, testing, debugging for existing applications needing
changes
*Experience with JBoss, Eclipse, Hibernate and Struts is a plus.
*Project Management/ Business Analysis experience a plus

Education
*Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, MIS or technical equivalent
