Oracle DBA/Support Position Spec:

The application support group is responsible for supporting the entire
portfolio of technologies that make up the our trade management
platform. This will include but not limited to:

- Provide operational support to remote production Oracle 8i/9i/10g
databases.

- Monitor, diagnose, and tune database performance issues.

- Aid the support group with accessing / loading information in the
database.

- Install, upgrade, patch Oracle Server.

- Have proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL (familiarity with Java/JDBC is a
plus).

- Have proficiency in SQL*PLUS, SQL Loader, and Export and Import
utilities.

- Scripting experience (Perl, DOS, Ant, UNIX shells) a definitive plus.


- Knowledge of multiple operating systems such as Windows 2000/XP/2003,
Debian, and Solaris is important.

- Position requires strong problem solving, analytical and
interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated talent for multitasking effectively.

- Must possess exceptional communication skills, an eye for detail, a
problem solving perspective, and a customer-centric perspective.

Candidate would provide technical support to our clients, and
certification of client connections (FIX) and front end functionality.

Candidates with experience in equity trading and knowledge of OMS
trading systems and FIX Protocol will be given first consideration.
