We are currently looking for Senior Oracle Database Administrator for
our Qatar operations with the following skill set and terms and
conditions:
Skill Set required:
Skills
1. Strong experience with Oracle 9i, 10g Administration.
2. Good knowledge of Oracle RAC.
3. Good knowledge of HP UNIX.
4. Oracle Certified Professional certification will be an added
advantage.

Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshoots on Oracle Databases issues identifying solutions
on daily basis.
2. Implements backup procedures, Troubleshoots and maintains the
backups on a daily basis.
3. Carries out performance monitoring, uses utilities to for
troubleshooting or fine tuning the databases to maximum
performance.
4. Manages the Disaster recovery databases. Monitors, the
synchronization between production and DR databases. Manages and
trouble shoots on the DR databases.
5. Reviews database logs, searches for errors.
6. Applying patches releasing bug fixes into the production
environment.
7. Allocation of storage for application systems
8. Troubleshoots high priority systems such as the core banking
systems to ensure availability of service.
9. Undertakes similar or related tasks or duties as directed by
senior management

Experience Required: minimum 4 yrs.
