Default Oracle Developer / Troubleshooter / QC / etc... - My Resume Included - 08-08-2003 , 10:38 PM

I will work anywhere but prefer to work from home if possible. My resume is
worth reading as my talents are varied. I am self employed at present,
running a small software house developing software for visually impaired
computer users. I would like some work to boost my income as my wife is
having a baby in December of this year.

My experience is indicated below. I can provide details on request. I do not
want to hear from agents, etc, unless a definite AND RELEVANT offer is
available at the time of contacting me. If I am contacted with irrelevant
offers I will no longer accept business from that specific agency.

My resume is below. I have placed my
career objectives first as if these cannot be fulfilled then it is not worth
your time reading my resume:

I can be contacted at rwfts (AT) btopenworld (DOT) com or by mobile phone number 0775
1025 824.

EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVE:
I wish to work from home if possible or in the Edinburgh area. I am
interested in Oracle development or in Oracle documentation, including
writing specifications and creating development standards for a small
company. I am also interested in Oracle training, or in writing or rewriting
training documentation. I would also consider moving to New York if a
suitable permanent position were offered.

EXPERIENCE:
2003 - Present: Software Designer and Developer
Self employed and running my own business. Developing Windows programs for
blind and disabled users.

2001 - 2003: Development Analyst, Release Assistant and Configuration
Manager
My role with Intasys Billing Technologies was basically that of a
troubleshooter brought in to improve development practices and to solve the
problems in the release mechanism. I absorbed many responsibilities,
including managing the source code repository and writing the companies
development standards. I also developed PL/SQL programs during the course of
my employment.

2000 - 2001: Oracle Developer and Technical Author
I was brought in to document a large project which the company and its
customer were losing track of. I also performed PL/SQL programming and Forms
/ Reports development on this and other projects. I wrote development
standards documentation and unit / system test documentation for this small
company.

1998 - 2000: Oracle Trainer
Training in SQL, PL/SQL, FORMS and REPORTS. I became Senior Trainer at the
companies Scottish office within 6 months of working for them. I did not
have any Oracle experience whatsoever prior to this.

1994- 1998: Technical Author
Working as a technical author for a large electronics company.
