Our client has a requirement of an Oracle DBA at Sacramento, CA. This
position is on contract basis. It is initially for 6 months and bright
chances of going beyond this.

The requirements of this job are as follows:

The DBA is required to research, investigate and implement appropriate
advanced utilities provided by the upgrade to Oracle version 9i.
Skill Set:
.. An Oracle 9i DBA with a minimum of 5 years as a DBA and
extensive Oracle 9i specific experience.
.. Must be highly self-motivated and able to work with minimal
supervision.
.. Must be familiar with design and implementation principles and
protocols.
.. Must be knowledgeable of research material sources and be able
to formulate an efficient investigative strategy that provides
deliverables on target.
.. Must be able to build environments that will provide for the
testing of Oracle 9i utilities and processes that are identified by
the
research and investigation.
.. The following experience is preferred:
o HP UX, Tru 64 and AIX operating systems
o OEM
o Oracle 9i Application Server
o Oracle 9i DataGuard
o Oracle 9i RAC
o Oracle Streams
o Quest Shareplex Replication
o Shell Programming
