Job Title: HRIS Payroll / Time and Labor Software Engineer
Job Description:
PeopleSoft HCM Software Engineer for Corporate IS, supporting
application upgrades, corporate acquisitions, customer requested
enhancements, special projects, interfaces with Division Financial
databases, and daily Production support issues for Payroll and Time
and Labor
Interfacing with customers, defining requirements, documenting
process flows, and designing custom processes using specialized skills
in SQR programming, SQL, PeopleCode, and Application Engine.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field with a minimum of nine years of
applicable experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience in designing and developing PeopleSoft
8.9 Payroll and Time and Labor implementations including
configuration, construction, testing, go-live and post-go live
support.
Experience with SQL, PeopleTools, SQR, PeopleCode, Query manager,
and Application Engine required.
Experience writing test plans and test scripts.
5-7 years experience working with customers to capture requirements
and conduct fit-gap analysis.
Must have experience and be proficient in Payroll and Time and Labor
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in SQR and
PeopleTools development.
Ability to create technical analysis/design documentation required.
Experience with (North American Payroll including Canadian Payroll,
W4 Self Service, Final Check - Set up, Retro Pay - Set up, Payroll
Interface to A/P (for Garnishments), Tax Updates - Knowledge of Change
Assistant, 9.1 Upgrade, Acquisitions - Data conversion)
Preferred Additional Skills:
Familiar with SW development methodologies and lifecycle including
change management.
GL or Project Cost experience a plus.
Project leadership experience a plus.
Must work well in a team environment with other technical and
functional developers. Must be able to resolve technical problems
independently and quickly through troubleshooting and analysis.
Must be able to work directly with system users.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a plus.

Position: Teradata Database Administrator
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: one year
Roles/Responsibilities:
Implement variety of data models, database designs, data access, and
table maintenance codes
Resolve complex database performance issues, database capacity
issues, replication, and other distributed data issues
Consult with application development teams on database
administration considerations
Be responsible for space management, back-up, monitoring, and
maintaining ongoing performance of Teradata databases
Develop updates or modifications according to business needs
Monitor and review the work of other database administrators to
ensure correct practices and procedures
Design technical solutions and prepare implementation methods to be
performed by other DBA team members
Provide support and back-up for management
Assist with work plan development and work distributions for team
members
Provide incident and problem management support, including 24x7
pager support responsibilities.
Requirements:
College degree in Information Systems, related field, or equivalent
work experience
5+ years of experience in multi-node Teradata database and
infrastructure administration with versions V2R6 and V2R12.
Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain databases
Experience working with Journal Tables
Experience working in an Active Data Warehouse environment
Experience with Backup and Recovery software suites, particularly
BakBone (Netvault) and EMC Networker and have a solid understanding of
VTL, EDL, Tape Cloning and SAN technologies.
Database security, access management and monitoring
Fulfill regulatory compliance evidence collection (Sarbanes Oxley
and PCI) and audit/database logging.
Plan and support Teradata hardware and software upgrades
Escalate and follow through on issues created with the database
vendor
Experience with Database Query Log (DBQL) Query Performance Tuning,
Teradata Active System Management (TASM), Protegrity Data Encryption
Technologies
UNIX experience for managing Teradata systems (Linux and Teradata
MPRAS)
Thorough knowledge of underlying database management systems
products and tools such as Queryman, BTEQ, Multiload, Fastload, T-
Pump, Fastexport, Teradata Management Server, AWS.
Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work
collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with
innovative solutions
Demonstrated ability to prioritize a work load and meet project
deadlines
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent
decisions
Extremely detail oriented
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and be 'on call' to
accommodate project deadlines and business requirements
Nice to have's:
A background in Logical Data Modeling
Database Certifications as appropriate are preferred
Knowledge of extended features of DBMS technology is required
Familiarity with Business Objects ad-hoc workloads (or other B.I.
tools such as Cognos/MicroStrategy)
Familiarity with other RDBMS technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL
Server.
