Java Developer
Location : Wilmington, DE
Duration : 6 Months
Job Description :
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including
encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an
organization's client/server software applications. May require a
Bachelors degree in a related area and 7+ years of experience in the
field or in a related area. Familiar with relational database
concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of
complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically
reports to a project leader or manager. A wide degree of creativity
and latitude is expected.
Additional Skills :
Required skills:
Core java 1.5
Collections, generics, encryption, multithreading and OO principles.
3+ years with Struts, Servlets, JSP, JDBC and other J2EE technologies.
Internationalization (i18n), nested tags, and threading
implementations.
IBM RAD 7/WebSphere environment experience.
Deployment, server configurations, troubleshooting, logs analysis,
application performance etc.
2005 SQL Server development experience:
Writing complex queries and stored procedures with joins and
optimizing DB performance.
HTML, XML, XSLT, Javascript, Ajax, CSS.
Frontend design experience required.
Crystal Reports.
RAD Crystal Reports Java APIs and design experience.

Web Services:
SOAP, WSDL web services development experience
Design:
Object oriented application design experience.
Windows/Unix environment experience

Desired skills
Core java 1.6
Open source technologies: itext,
Prior Life Insurance industry experience

Responsibilities:
Performing full lifecycle software development: Designing, coding,
testing, deployment, documenting, maintaining and supporting the
application according to project standards.
Integrating various software components with existing systems.
Identify and evaluate new technologies for improving or adding new
features.
Ability to work on several tasks or applications at same time.
