Is this what OLAP for ?

Hi,

Your list of requirements can be solved with a relational database.
But if you would like to be able to change dynamic the report layout
columns and rows by endusers and no IT-pros and use of KPIs I would
like to suggest you to use OLAP with clicktrough / actions to retrieve
data out of a DWH or relational database.
