Overview
The hiring manager is looking for a Senior BA with lots of solid
experience in Business Intelligence systems design, someone steeped in
the DSS OLAP technologies who may also possess ROLAP experience. Not
looking for a coder/developer but rather a broadly experienced very
business-oriented person with some technical background, JAD and
process decomp experience, knows BA tools, comes from a place where
they have been using a really solid methodology for designing and
developing BI applications, is versatile and adaptable, and who may
know something about KM and EVA.

This person will assume the Lead BA role, must have leadership
potential and really good analytic skills. A consulting background
would be helpful, as well as some exposure to Informatica,
MicroStrategy, or Hyperion.

The 30+ man shop is split into 4 sections. The BI section consists of
about 4-5 people (Big 4 backgrounds) who are smart, learn fast, and
interact well with business users, but who are not really steeped in
BI, just learning the nuances of BI applications.

A key skill is data modeling, and able to get to the heads of those in
the organization and understand what they really need, not necessarily
what they want. The hiring manager's operating basis with the
business users is "Tell me what decisions you make today" and then
work backwards to design a system. With regard to working with his
Business Analysts, the manager's view is "Do not give me a
requirement unless you can tell me exactly what the user is doing with
it" (must be related to a business decision).

In addition to the above qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, MIS/IT or Engineering
- advanced degree preferred
· 8 or more years relevant business experience
· Experience conducting staff performance reviews is highly desirable
· Experience with MS Office applications, MS Project, Visio and
business processing modeling
· Forman development life cycle methodology experience is required

Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary range $85 - $95K plus annual 10% bonus, relocation
