Default Sas Odbc - 10-14-2003 , 11:05 AM

Is it difficult to set up an ODBC link from a SAS data warehouse to
impromptu.

If it is possible how is it done?

Not really

You need either the sas odbc driver - or thir universal driver.

If using sas odbc - the driver must be able to get to a base sas
installation, normally local but could be reomote. The universal driver does
not need base sas as it appears to have the base sas and sas sccess
components needed in a runtime form. The drawback is that there is an
additional cost to the universal driver... while sas odbc is usually part of
sas access.

Cheers
