I have not used any of the reporting tool besides SQR and Business
Objects. Business Objects was difficult to set up because it needed
reporting "universes" to be built first. Hyperion has a pretty good
GUI for SQR, and the setup is no hassle, but it is a little more
difficult to use than Business Objects since it puts out code instead
of just using a UI. It is pretty fast in production, though.

You can also use SQR for conversion and data warehousing also. There
is a tool called sqrintegrator.

If you have questions about using SQR, I can help.

I'm interested in the strengths & weaknesses of Reporting Services &
Crystal Reports.
What other reporting front-ends are there?

Actuate, Cognos ReportNet, Hyperion SQR, MicroStrategy Report Services.
