Hello Experts ...

I am conducting a research for my company to see which of the
following sceniros to implement.

What we have is 5 legacy systems that we would like to feed into an
operational system. what I was thinking is to have a data warehouse
in between the 5 legacy system and the operational sys. So, now we
have two methods for implementations;

1) legacy systems ----feeds----> operational sys
or
2) legacy systems ----feeds---> DW ----feeds---->Operational sys

I know what are the pro's and con's of method 2. I would like to know
the pro's and con's of method 1. Your opionion is appreciated.
