Default Oracle OLAP - 03-04-2004 , 09:10 AM

I am having problems setting up the Oracle 9.4.0.2.1 Olap version. I
can create an Analytic Workspace in the database. I also am able to
query this database with the Analaytic Workspace Manager.

However I can not connect to the database with the BI Beans. I get the
following error message. Although the database connection succeeded,
the metadata in the OLAP Catalog is not valid and could not be
retrieved. In order to create OLAP queries against the database, you
must ensure that the OLAP Catalog metadata is valid.

I have ran the tool in the Analytic Workspace Manager to enable for BI
Beans.

Also here is a listing from the BI Beans Check Config tool:

BI Beans Diagnostics(v1.0.0.0) 3/3/04

JDEV_ORACLE_HOME ............................. = C:\JDeveloper
JAVA_HOME .................................... = C:\JDeveloper\jdk

have you executed CWM2_OLAP_METADATA_REFRESH.MR_REFRESH ? this
sometimes solves the problem.

Josh,

How did you populate the Analytic Workspace - was it from a relational
schema and OLAP metadata, or by either creating or importing AW objects?

Regards,

Jon
