Hi Sergei, You need to perform the below steps being logged in as the owner of the workspace so the Oracle Server can create the abstract Object- and Table-Types that are later required to reside on the Oracle Server for the queries against Oracle 9i OLAP DML (the object types start with DYNA_OBJ and DYNA_TABLE. The table type consists of rows of the Object Type and serves as a container for temporary DML query resultsets). In order to add the database, in the database window click on 選nfo' and then in the Information dialog window click on 然epository' and under 船atabase', enter the new Analytic Workspace to be added in the form OWNER.WORKSPACE (example: SCOTT.OLAPWORKS) From the dynaSight help: How to set up a connection to an Oracle OLAP DML data source 1. In the Database window, click on the New connection button to set up a connection. 2. In the Create new connection dialog box, select External Data Source, and select Connector for Oracle Olap DML. 3. In the Create New Connect File dialog box, enter a name for the connection file and click on Save. The same name will be used for the repository file, except with the extension *.isr. 4. Login as workspace owner and enter the required additional login information in the login dialog. 5. After successful login click the Info button in the Database window. 6. In the Information dialog click the Repository tab and under Manual Entry in the Database field enter the name of the database which you want to access. 7. Click OK and than click Add. 8. Switch the database connection offline and online again by clicking twice on the Offline button in the toolbar of the Database window. Should you need further help, you can either contact arcplan support or post your problems to dynaSight.net, which is the prime newsgroup for all dynasight related matters. Best Regards Andreas |
