OLAP and XML data-source

Hi everyone,

OLAP tools normally work with data stores such as relational-dbs. Does
anyone know if any of the vendors such as Hyperion, Cognos or Business
Objects etc. can work with XML data as a data-source, instead of other
conventional data-sources?

Hi,

If you have a XML OLEDB / ODBC driver for Windows than you can use the
XML database as source for MS Analysis Services. As frontend you can
even use ReportPortal for MDX and SQL.

Cognos supports XML as a source today... You can use ReportNet to feed
PowerPlay cubes using XML as source data.
