OLAP & PHP

This is probably a basic question, but I'll ask anyway:

how is it possible to query an OLAP cube (on a MS SQL 2000 server) using PHP
? I'd really like some sample code as well - can be short - just to show the
main point.

If this is not possible, what is the best similar language to use and why? A
code snippet would be appreciated here too.

Check the Newsgroup microsoft.public.sqlserver.olap for more information.
There will also be pointers to books online.

I have not tested it... but seems like the only possible/suggested way
from PHP.
