Hi,

I had to move some of the categories for one of my dimensions. This
is the old way I had them:
DELL DEALERS
DELL DEALER 1
DELL DEALER 2
DELL DEALER 3
IBM DEALER
IBM DEALER 1
IBM DEALER 2
IBM DEALER 3
OTHERS
...
ACER DEALER N
HP DEALER 1
HP DEALER 2
HP DEALER 3
SONY DEALER 1
...

I moved HP dealers into their own category for all deals starting from
1st of January of the current year, for older date they remained in
OTHERS category:
DELL DEALERS
DELL DEALER 1
DELL DEALER 2
DELL DEALER 3
IBM DEALERS
IBM DEALER 1
IBM DEALER 2
IBM DEALER 3
HP DEALERS
HP DEALER 1
HP DEALER 2
HP DEALER 3
OTHERS
...
ACER DEALER N
HP DEALER 1
HP DEALER 2
HP DEALER 3
SONY DEALER 1
...
I could not move them for historical data cause it would affect
calculations made in the past and total numbers, as OTHERS category is
processed differently then the rest of them.

Now I have HP dealers in two places.
If I look at them in HP DEALERS category, I get these data:

If I look at them in OTHERS category, I get these data:

Is there a way top put some kind of a link to older data from Cognos
fron-end without changing fact table and total, so I could see it in
the new category as well:
