Be an integral member of E-LOAN's Database team working on high-volume
web-enabled commerce systems. This is an excellent opportunity for

In this role, you will:
Utilize best-practices data warehousing techniques to expand our data
warehousing capabilities. You will work closely with our Data
Warehouse Architect to add functionality to our existing data
warehouse and maintain current data warehouse processes. You will
participate in the design and implementation of new leading edge OLAP
and ROLAP technologies. You will design data models using both star
and snow flake schemas, develop code using PL/SQL packages, and be
responsible for monitoring nightly data warehouse related jobs. You
will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of Oracle
developers, DBAs, and UNIX Systems Administrators to implement new
data warehouse technologies, including implementing new data marts,
creating a reporting web portal, implementing new reporting
technologies, and defining and implementing OLAP and ROLAP cubes.

We require that you have:
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, logical and physical
database design, entity relationship data modeling, object models,
database schema, database normalization, and de-normalization
techniques
• Extensive knowledge and experience with data warehousing projects
including hands-on experience modeling both star and snow flake
schemas, creating ETL scripts using PL/SQL or another scripting tool
such as Informatica, configuring and deploying OLAP servers
• At least 3 years experience as a data warehouse developer or data
warehouse architect with the successful implementation of at least one
OLAP product such as Hyperion Essbase, Cognos, Microstrategy, Oracle
OLAP, etc.
• Written stored procedures, packages, views and triggers in PL/SQL to
support the development and implementation of a data warehouse
• Worked with large production databases transforming data from an
OLTP to a data warehouse or OLAP cube
• Deployed a web based reporting tool such as Crystal Reports,
Hyperion Analyzer, or Oracle Discoverer
• Worked in a production environment using UNIX and/or Linux
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• A proven track record of working with end-users and translating
business requirements into technical design specifications
