DESCRIPTION
This position acts as a technical resource and consults with clients/
users regarding technical requirements and impact of complex business
requirements. Responsible for or assists in designing, coding,
creating test plans, debugging of Hyperion applications using Essbase,
Planning, Hyperion Reports, etc. Also responsible for or assists in
the installation and configuring of Hyperion Essbase, Planning, etc.
Our client is looking for someone experienced with both development
and administrative experience for this "hybrid" position:
CORE REQUIREMENTS
· Development: Calc scripts and/or business rules, Hyperion Reports,
and Web Analysis (Analyzer)
· Administration: Some Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase
administration experience
· 3 or more years experience in a Business Intelligence environment
· 2 or more years experience using Hyperion Essbase 7.x or higher OR
Hyperion Planning 4.x
· 1 or more years experience in Hyperion Reports or Web Analysis
· Some exposure to installing Hyperion software: Essbase, Planning,
etc.
· Strong interpersonal skills able to successfully interact with
credibility at all levels
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
· Working knowledge of Essbase Integration Services
· Hyperion System 9 experience
· Experience working in a Finance/Accounting area
· Knowledge of Oracle a strong plus
· General knowledge of Essbase API functionality
· Some VBA experience
