Currently seeking a Hyperion Application Engineer who will be
responsible for administering and maintaining the Hyperion Planning
implementation and developing new Hyperion Essbase applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with
the Finance department, Systems Administrators, and End-Users to ensure
the system is functioning and performing optimally, while providing
excellent customer service in a fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Maintain Production, QA, and development Hyperion environments
Identify, test, and implement enhancements to the Hyperion
infrastructure
Design and maintain web entry forms, creating and executing calculation
scripts and business rules
Analyze, design, and create Hyperion reports as required by executive
management
Manage new user setup and security, providing technical support and
end-user training
Perform source data loads; maintain and upgrade source data feeds and
load rules
Act as an escalation resource to resolve complex technical issues
within compliance of the defined Service Level Agreement
Ensure that the application performs within operational bounds on a
consistent basis
Perform systems migrations on a scheduled basis
Work with technical operations to ensure backups are performed
according to schedule
Assure that user manuals, system design documents, and program
documentation are kept current
Report operating metrics to direct manager on a weekly basis

Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or related science preferred
(or equivalent experience)
Strong understanding of standard systems administration practices
Functional understanding of Finance
Minimum of five years in experience with the following:
Administration of Hyperion (Essbase 6.5.1, Reports 2.0, Analyzer 6.2.1,
Planning 2.0)
Windows 2000 administration
SQL server and OLAP reporting tools administration/support
Managing enterprise level software implementations
Desired Skills
Experience with administration of financial applications
Experience with report writing and cube development
