Hello everyone,

I´m starting to work with Holos 8.5, but i´m having some dificulties to
understand some aspects!

I have to create several dimensions from a sales scheme in order to
create an Olap Cube..

Does someone can help me?

If someone has documentation or examples i would be greatfull..

You do know that Holos is a dead product, don't you? Development has now
ceased and most of its remaining sites are looking to migrate from it.

Lulu,
I have been working with the Holos product for the last 10 years as a
consultant, both for the supplier company in its various different guises
and as an independant consultant, so I may be able to help out, although I
suggest the best would for me to e-mail you directly so that we can take the
conversation off-line.

As with Nigels point on the future of Holos, with recent events surrounding
the the take-over of Crystal by Business Objects, I would suggest that it is
very early to make assertions like that. I would imagine that there are many
discussions happening at the moment with regards to how to streamline and
integrate the combined product range, and that decisions to kill products
are a long way from being made. There are still a number of Holos customers
with actively running successful Holos projects, and I am aware of new
projects that are starting that make use of Holos in conjunction with the
other Crystal products.
I would be very interested however to hear Nigels comments on this
take-over, particularly when considering the current market state, in
particular the takeover of Brio by Hyperion and Microsoft Microsoft
developing tools such as Enterprise Reports and moving into the front-end
market.

Regards,

Kevin

Lulu,

I have tried to mail you, and the mail was returned. Maybe you could send me
a mail on kevin.trepess (AT) solutionwarehouse (DOT) ch to start the communication ...

Thanks

Kevin

Although Holos is still supported in the short term, I do *not*
recommend the development of any new applications on it, and learning
Holos

Boy, I wish you'd told me that in 1992.
