Responsibilities

 To manage the preparation of weekly reports;
 Monthly earnings forecast;
 Monthly variance analysis;
 Monthly and quarterly analysis of financial performance;

 Lead the development of financial reports;
 Development and maintenance of financial databases to improve the
reporting process;
 Assume the administration and documentation of financial database
software, and
 Provide support to budget application development and maintenance.


Requirements

2 – 3 years experience with Hyperion Essbase AND/OR financial
analysis;
Strong Excel/VBA development skills;
Minimum of 3 years financial analysis experience;
4-year degree in finance, business, accounting or economics — MBA
preferred;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills as interaction will
include with senior level managers;
Time management is vital in that the person must be able to handle
several things at any one time;
Must be a strong independent worker requiring minimal supervision

The working environment is dynamic with a moderate to heavy workload.
The client has been in a fast growth mode for the past two years —
which includes two acquisitions that have approximately doubled the
work load — and is just getting caught up on the staffing side
although the growth and change are expected to continue.

The group consists of 4 or 5 Analysts and a Director. The financial and
sales databases are used by senior management and projects are often
initiated by the CEO and COO through the CFO.

There is a fair amount of ad-hoc analysis, basic financial analysis,
short and long-range planning, and analyzing performance metrics (not
much M&A work).

This position will be involved in a project to consolidate multiple
accounting systems into a single instance chart of accounts which will
require the design and implementation of a new Essbase reporting
system.
