Default Email option from Hyperion's Autopilot - 02-16-2006 , 07:15 AM

Not sure this is the right group for this question, but thought I'd
give it a shot.

We are using Autopilot to schedule jobs from Hyperion. The problem we
run into is that someone must physically watch the jobs to ensure they
complete successfully. If one of the jobs errors out, there is no
automatic email notification process (that we know about anyway).

Has anyone dealt with this before? Does anyone know how we can
configure AutoPilot to send out an email to someone in the event one of
the jobs in our job stream fails?

Thanks,

Most applications/processes will return a success code of either 1 or 0.
You could use this success code to generate emails about failures, you might
want to include the job name or id in the email as well. Hope this helps.
