Hi,
I have a DataStage Server installation running on Windows Advanced
Server. The client is also installed on the same server.
I am a beginner and I had tried a simple Parallel Server job and
through a transformer had extracted to a simple flat sequential file.

I then saved the job and closed the session and then wanted get back to
start specifying the connection parameters etc. But I was not able to
log back on through Adminstrator, Director, Manager or Designer. It
gave me the following error:

Failed to connect to host:<host name>, project:<project name> (The
connection is broken (81002)).

I have stopped and restarted all the DataStage services:
DataStage Engine Resource Service
DataStage Telnet Service
DSRPC Service

But I continue to experience the same logon issue. Can someone help me
here?

The issue was resolved. The DPSRC Service was restarted with the option
to allow the service to interact with the Desktop. This is an option on
the Log On tab of the service's property window.
