Job Title: Datamart Developer
Location: Chicago, IL
As a member of the data applications team, you will aide in the
design, development and maintenance of multiple client-facing data
marts, leveraging Microsoft SQL Server, Analysis Services and
Integration Services. We employ many unique and sophisticated
approaches for structuring, analyzing and reporting data for our
flagship Media Metrix and qSearch services, and we are looking for
talented individuals to help improve and expand our capabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for new database installations on development, testing
and production servers. In addition, will be responsible for
evaluation and installation of service packs and upgrades across the
enterprise.
· Responsible for creation and execution of SQL Server and Analysis
Services database backups - based on the individual needs of each
database.
· Manage & execute data migration, conversion, normalization, and tool
admin for development & production environments.
· Assist with migration of existing databases and associated objects
from SQL Server 2000 to 2005.
· Provide support during production maintenance windows.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field.
· 2-3 years SQL Server experience. Ideal candidate will have
knowledge of BI concepts, Analysis Services, DTS/SSIS, indexing,
performance tuning and security.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting expertise.
